Reason #5: Tiny Tales

Posted on Updated on

One of the best things about my short story anthology Paranormal Dating is the length of each tale.

There are a lot of reasons to read short stories —

  • Reading Slump: Sometimes, you’ve recently read a lot of novels and/or non-fiction works that are not your thing. You don’t like the writing, the characters, and have no idea what to read next. At times like this, a short story can be the perfect answer. You might love it, you might hate it, but it doesn’t take long to read, and can help you build up your reading momentum.
  • Commuter Friendly: A short story can be finished during a bus or train ride from home to work/school, or vice versa.
  • You can finish it: We all get a sense of accomplishment when we complete something, whether that is achieving a goal that allows you to mark a check on your list, or finishing a story, allowing you to look up from the (e-)book.

In other words, short stories are the shit. So why not purchase mine?
